Filtering Notifications

Lynda Posted: 2023-11-17 11:43

Is it possible to filter the notifications to separate Comments, Activities and Meetings? All currently popping up together - so often difficult to prioritise by urgency - I have a default report that opens on start up showing all Activities/meetings by due date - so do not need to receive a notification. Are we able to switch off notifications for types?

Hi Lynda,

Thank you for your post regarding notifications. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable or prioritize notifications for specific record types at the moment. The only amendable type is for comments. You can choose whether to turn off notifications for comments on your assigned records or comments on records you are watching. These settings can be found by individual users by selecting Start > Preferences (at the bottom of the start window) > Notifications.

You can also set these settings database wide if you are a system admin user by selecting Start > Configuration > Preferences > Notifications.

In regards to this request, I have escalated an enhancement ticket to our engineers for changes to the notifications window/settings. I cannot promise that these changes will be implemented however, the request will be reviewed and hopefully implemented in a future release. The ticket is linked to this case that was raised (CASE-98849) and if implemented, I will reach out and let you know about the upcoming changes being made.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Ashley
