Tax Regimes

An overview of what Sales Tax Regimes are and where to find the in Workbooks.

Workbooks comes equipped with its own system to allow you to set up and manage your Sales Tax Regimes. From here you can set up tax regimes based on the countries your business operates within and then set the Sales Tax codes and their respective rates.

Tax Regimes are set on your Own Organisation and will dictate the ability to effectively create documents such as Invoices with the correct tax information based on the location of you and your customers.

Note: Only one Tax Regime can be set on each Own Organisation Record.

Workbooks comes pre-set with a list of available Tax Regimes, where the UK Tax Regime comes with pre-configured with a number of Sales Tax Codes. More Regimes and Tax Codes can then be created as needed to work in line with your business needs.

In order to access your Sales Tax Regimes, you will need to go to Start > Configuration > Accounting > Sales Tax Regimes.

This will show you the complete list of available Sales Tax Regimes and allow you to see those that have been configured within your database.

Note: To configure a Sales Tax Regime you will need to create at least one Sales Tax Code within it.
