Within Reports it is possible to change the type of field that a Calculated Column displays as. It can be one of the following;

• Checkbox
• Currency
• Number
• Date
• Percentage
• Plain text 
• Time relative to now

 This is accomplished by use of the Advanced tab when creating or modifying the Calculated Column.

On occasion it has been noticed that some options to display a Calculated Column are not present. The choices available in this dropdown menu are the possible choices for the output of the formula used. For example, if you do not have the option to choose to display as a number it is likely that the output of the formula contains punctuation, special characters or letters.
