Formula based custom field

I am trying to create a formula based custom field in Customer orders. Is this possible? Anyone tried it?

It's currently only possible using a Script. You could add a 'Process Button' to your form.   Calculated custom fields is an Idea on the Ideas forum - please would you vote for it here. Thanks
