I want to define the reply email address. For instance: the SMTP server configured in Workbooks is @gmail.com. The email recieved by the recipient shows the @gmail.com address. I would like this to be @adifferentaddress.com How can I do this? Many thanks // Luk |

Hi, This can be done by going to start > configuration > Email & Web > Email Accounts > New Email Account When you create a new email account you can specify a new SMTP server and Email address

Hi, Many thanks for your answer. However, I would like to use the SMTP server defined (gmail.com) but mask my gmail address with another one reply address. Email send from workbooks -> SMTP gmail.com -> reply email address = @gmail.com turn this into email send from workbooks -> SMTP gmail.com -> reply email address = @somethingdifferent.com // Luk |

Hi again, Sorry for the initial misunderstanding. If you go to start > preferences > Email Accounts > Click an existing address > go to the Addresses tab > New Email Address > Enter in a legitimate email address in the "Email Address" field > in the "display name" field enter in the email address you want emails to appear to be sent from. Most email clients will display the from as the "display name" rather than the email address. You can now choose to send emails from workbooks with this address. Hope that helps

I don't think that helps, Support. It just creates another email address to the account. I've entered the email address and display name that I want to appear on emails I send out, but having tried it out it displays my own SMTP server email address and name when received. Not sure how that's different from just sending out emails plainly from my original personal email address instead of using Workbooks? |

Hi again, I have updated my 2nd post to be a bit clearer. Make sure the "email address" field has your legitmate email address in, then in the display name field enter your "12345@adifferentaddress.com".
If this does not work it may be due to the settings on your SMTP server |

Thanks for that. I had followed those steps, so I guess it must be my SMTP server settings. I know this wouldn't have anythign to do with workbooks then, but do you know how I might go about changing my settings and what I would need to change? Many thanks. |
