An archive facility for records would be a very useful addition to the database (one which we had in old CRM) with the option to retrieve and reactivate records if required. In addition we have specific scripts that run against our database and due to the number of old records we have, there is more risk of the scripts failing due to timeouts. |

Hi Angela, Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, we do not support this functionality at Workbooks at the moment as we have not had many customers that have asked for this to be available. I would recommend you to visit our Suggestions forum where you can raise new ideas that you have or vote on existing ones. Kind regards, Neelum Akram |

Hi Angela, Speaking internally regarding this issue, we have been able to come up with a suitable workaround. It would be possible to create a Queue called Archive and when a Record is no longer required it can be assigned to the Archive Queue. Utilising the Advanced Security Extension you would then be able to make it so that any record assigned to the Archive Queue was hidden from all Users, bar system Admins. This way if a Record is then required you would then be able to reassign it back from the Archive Queue to the User that requires the Record. If you were also to set up this Queue that the Automation User was unable to Read these Records then they would not be picked up by your Scripts and solve your timeout issues. Happy to discuss this further, if you would like to contact support@workbooks.com we can set up a call. Kind Regards, Sam |
