ActiveRecord::RecordNotSaved

This error occurs when a user is automatically created within the WESS (Exchange Sync) configuration database prior to creating the user in Workbooks. To resolve this, a Workbooks system admin will need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Start > Configuration Email Integrations > Exchange Sync
  2. Within the “Users” page you should be able to see the affected user. They should have an “Exchange Email” but not a “User” name.
  3. Click Configuration > Choose Organisation
  4. When you find the affected user (or in this case both users) within the Organisation, press the delete icon to the right of the screen. This should delete the user within the WESS configuration database.
  5. In Workbooks, you should now be able to create the user and save them.
  6. Once this is done, you can then apply an Exchange Sync licence to the user which should then automatically create them in the WESS configuration database again.
