Microsoft Azure Active Directory

Users can login to Workbooks through Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory (AD). This provides users with the ability to sign into Workbooks without the need for a separate username and password. Administrators can manage accounts centrally within Active Directory, giving you greater control and security for your business and as an added benefit if two-factor authentication is enabled for Microsoft AD then that also protects your Workbooks logins.

Through this method it is also possible to create New User Templates so that new existing Active Directory Users can have a Workbooks account created automatically without the need for a system administrator to do any initial account configuration.

Prerequisites: In order to link Workbooks to a Microsoft Login you must use either Azure Active Directory (included with Office 365) or, if you have an on-premise version of AD you will need to use Azure AD Connect or similar software.
