Projects

Project Records enable you to manage complex work within your business easily by showing you what needs to get done, who is doing it and by when. Projects can be used to manage both internal programs or for delivering an external project for a customer. 

Simple Projects allow you to create and manage Project Tasks, assign and schedule them to Project team members and leave Comments on tasks.  This functionality is included in our Pro licences. 

The Advanced Projects Module will allow you to create a Project which has a Budget where you can allocate time for each Task, log time against each Task 

Simple Projects are included in the following licences: 

  • CRM Pro Edition 
  • Business Pro Edition 
  • Advanced Projects Module 
  • Projects and Projects Pro Editions 

 

Advanced Projects are included in the following licences: 

  • Advanced Projects Module 
  • Projects and Projects Pro Editions 

Who needs Advanced Projects Module

The following roles would need the Advanced Projects Module

  • Project Manager(s) 
  • Users who will be logging time.
  • Finance person working out how much to invoice customers. 

Tip

NOTE: There is a Capability for someone within this role called ‘Project Finance Administration’

We recommend the following licence set up: 

  • For Users that work on Projects, and need visibility of the related Customer Orders and Invoices
    • Business Edition + Advanced Projects Module
  • For Users that work on Projects, and do not need visibility of Customer Orders and Invoices, but do need access to other areas of the CRM like Opportunities or Cases
    • CRM Edition + Advanced Projects Module
  • For Users that are part of the Finance Team that need to review the Revenue of Projects and create Invoices for them
    • Business Edition + Advanced Projects Module
  • For Users that just work on Projects:
    • Projects Edition
