National Federation of Builders (NFB) chooses Workbooks to manage membership sales and non-member training services

Type: #PR

Reading, England, 17th March 2014

The National Federation of Builders, the construction industry’s longest established trade association, has chosen to roll-out the Workbooks cloud-based CRM solution to manage the activities of its commercial team which handles membership sales and training to non-members.

Built on solid foundations, the NFB provides business and policy support to builders, contractors and house builders across England and Wales. The NFB supports its members on legal, employment, taxation, health and safety, environmental, technical, training and government funding issues.

The commercial team was using individual spreadsheets to manage its operations and identified a requirement for a cost-effective, easy-to-use, shared CRM system for sales force management, communications tracking and email marketing campaigns.

Commercial Director, June Davis, commented: “We are constantly striving to streamline our sales operations and optimise our systems to sell membership and training products most effectively to non members. Implementing the Workbooks CRM solution will enable us to do this by tracking new member enquiries more effectively. Workbooks will allow our Operations Executives to manage their leads and appointments, and customisable reporting means the management team will have all the information to monitor sales conversions and performance.”

Ian Moyse, Sales Director at Workbooks said: “Many trade associations and not-for-profit organisations are choosing Workbooks due to the intuitive user interface which encourages adoption and reduces the need for extensive user training. What’s more, as a web-based application that can be accessed from any device with a browser and a network connection, Workbooks provides a much more flexible and cost-effective way to deliver IT to the business than the conventional on premise solution.”

As part of the assessment process, Business Information Manager Trevor McDonald and the team carefully considered a number of solutions and Trevor said: “With a strategic investment like this it was essential to look in detail at a number of different approaches, and the flexibility and broad functionality of Workbooks, together with Microsoft Outlook and MailChimp integration, made them the clear winner.”
