Workbooks.com, a web based CRM provider for SMEs, has yet again been chosen to be included in the government’s list of cloud based IT services for its G-Cloud CloudStore.
Workbooks.com is pleased to have passed the competitive tender process for the second time to keep their status as a preferred supplier under the government’s G-cloud programme. The G-cloud II programme aims to make it easier for government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector to select third-party cloud ICT services. Workbooks.com is one of almost 500 suppliers to be included in the scheme and is proud to be included for the second consecutive year.
“As a through-and-through British cloud provider, Workbooks is thrilled to be included in G-cloud II and recognised as a respected provider of cloud-based CRM solutions,” said John Cheney, CEO at Workbooks.com, “It emphasises our growing influence in the cloud sector and we are excited about the continued growth of cloud use in the public sector.”
“Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery of CRM applications represented 34% of worldwide CRM application spending in 2011 and according to Gartner, out of all the SaaS (Software as a Service) based categories, CRM will see the largest global revenue growth, with a predicted 15.1% CAGR worldwide.”
Cheney continued “Customers are getting progressively more educated on the benefits of cloud and asking more pertinent questions. For example in a recent Cloud Industry Forum 2012 Cloud Adoption Outlook Report, 47% of UK businesses wanted their data stored in the UK. This propagates a need for more clarity, certifications and transparency from cloud vendors on issues such as ‘exactly where is my data stored and how do I get it back.’ Initiatives such as G-Cloud can only enhance the customers’ confidence and ability to choose good cloud vendors to partner with.”
As a cloud vendor, Workbooks has been showing progressive growth and success in the past year since joining the G-Cloud program. Workbooks also continues to rapidly expand its partner base with experienced CRM resellers across the globe and now have customers in Canada, Australia, South Africa and the USA.
