Workbooks.com, a leading UK provider of web-based CRM for small businesses, today announced that it has secured an additional £1.1 million in additional funding, taking the total to £6.5 million.
The majority of the money invested was raised via the Enterprise Investment Scheme, which makes investing in businesses like Workbooks more tax efficient for private investors.
Workbooks.com will use the extra funding to drive continued product innovation and sales growth, and build on the success of the company’s web-based CRM software, which has already been used by multiple SMEs as a replacement for Salesforce.com, ACT! and Goldmine.
John Cheney, CEO of Workbooks, commented: “We are pleased to have secured additional funding, which will allow us to follow our plans for growth and development. Workbooks has clearly demonstrated that its cloud-based CRM solutions are ideally suited for the business pains experienced in the SME and SMB marketplace. Our ability to raise these funds is testament to the growing interest in our product and the robustness of our business model.”
Workbooks has achieved some significant milestones in 2012. The company is continuing to expand its partner network across the globe, having already recruited experienced CRM resellers in Canada, Australia, South Africa and the USA. Additional functionality has been added to the product in two new releases throughout the year and the company continues to grow its customer base worldwide. Workbooks has also been shortlisted in the category for Best CRM Solution for the 2012 UP Start Cloud Awards and recently announced that it has been selected as a finalist in CRM Idol 2012.
